A love like no other. I learned this fast when my daughter was born. Overwhelming, powerful, protective yet really vulnerable love. No one sacrifices, worries, plans and cares for these babies like we do, yet we often go years with iPhone selfies being our only photos with our babies. After I was diagnosed with cancer I felt compelled to create these images to celebrate your relationship with your children. It’s the quickest, longest, hardest, best, most rewarding yet crazy thing there is and time goes too quick not to document their little hands grabbing your face, open mouth kisses, breastfeeding and the real moments between you and your babies.
I created the Motherhood Sessions with mums in mind. I wanted this to be a fun experience, not just something to get through. This is why I arrange for an amazing hair and makeup team, so you're feeling your best. I arrange for extra support so you can hand your child to a friendly face and have a glass of fizz or a bite to eat while you relax and get made up. I use a beautiful home from home shoot location with bedrooms and gardens so you can play and cuddle just like you would at home. The perfect opportunity to get those images you will cherish forever. These events sell out quickly and I choke up every time I get to document mothers and the real moments between them and babies.

The motherhood sessions are a mini photography shoot. With the emphasis on capturing the bond between a mother and child.
Set in a modern airbnb bungalow, I use the bedrooms and gardens to create a home from home set.
I provide snacks, treats, wine and soft drinks for you and your kiddies. And invite you to relax and chat with other mums and my crack team of assistants.
My assistants are there to help look after your little ones in the same room whilst you have your hair and make up done.
Once you have had your hair and make up done (options with or without the glam squad). I photograph you and your children interacting, playing, cuddling, bodyslamming and tickling. However you normally bond with your little ones is perfect.
Where possible I use the indoor and outdoor space to give you a variety of images.
After your shoot, I edit them in my custom style. I add all images taken to your own password protected gallery and send you a link to view them.
You receive 10 high resolution images with the cost of the session. There are options to buy more images if you wish.
No age limit or limit on numbers, if they call you mum, I want you there.
I love to start with shots of your child/children together and individually.
Depending on the ages of your little ones, I also like to take images of you with each child separately. Then altogether in the bedroom setting and I love to use the outdoor space too. There is a lovely garden with shade, open fields and woodland areas surrounding the property. I also set up a decorated teepee (weather dependent) to get more images of your children in a beautiful setting.
HOW MANY IMAGES WILL I GET TO CHOOSE FROM?
There will be a approx 50 images to choose from. 10 digital images are included with your session fee.
First priority is to feel comfortable with what you wear.
I personally love neutrals, pastels and white clothing for these shoots. I would avoid anything with large logos or big prints. We can arrange a chat to discuss wardrobe prior to the shoot. I love getting involved in the planning!
WHERE DO I GET MY HAIR AND MAKE UP DONE?
The property has an enormous open plan kitchen, diner and living room. We use seating off the kitchen for hair and make up. The kitchen table is typically full of fresh fruit and pastries (plus non spill snacks for little ones!)
The living room space has a TV and a few toys to keep the little ones entertained whilst they wait. The atmosphere is fab, everyone's chatting, having a cup of tea or glass of prosecco. The kids have a great time playing with others and of course I bring a bubble machine for the garden to keep them all happy!
Absolutely, the property has 4 bedrooms. I use 2 bedrooms to shoot in and the other two for anyone needing privacy to breastfeed, change a nappy or change clothing.
CAN I BRING MY PARTNER?
Yes, partners are welcome. Often useful to have a second set of hands.
WHERE IS THE SHOOT?
I use a beautiful Airbnb in Lingfield Surrey. It is a lovely secluded spot with gated entry and parking available outside.
Come. Hand that baby off. Get made up. Have a drink. Slip on something that make you feel beautiful. Create beautiful images of you with your babies. Feel like the queen you know you are.
