AMALFI COAST WEDDING VENUES - TOP 10

Amalfi Coast Wedding Venues

Are you thinking about an Amalfi Coast Wedding? Who could blame you?

Italy is a popular destination for those in love and after recently traveling to Positano and Ravello to photograph two gorgeous couples, I can see the appeal: the Mediterranean landscape, the dramatic coastline, the Italian Cypress trees lining the hills, and don't get me started on the chirping crickets lulling you to sleep at night.

The Amalfi Coast is my new favourite place to photograph, and whilst I have shot a few of these wedding venues, the rest serves as a bucket list of places I would be thrilled to photograph. If you are considering an Amalfi Coast wedding, I would love for you to get in touch.

My recent trip to Positano, Sorrento, Capri, Ravello and Montepercuso was a real eye opener and I learned a lot about the local areas and how best to navigate them.

Villa Cimbrone

Its origins date back to the 11th century, but the villa and the gardens were extensively renovated by a British nobleman, Lord Grimthorpe, in the early 20th century.

With its expansive gardens and dramatic views, the villa is a popular place for weddings, honeymoons, and receptions. The villa is a private 5-star hotel (Hotel Villa Cimbrone), but the gardens are open to the public and it ranks, perhaps, as the most memorable sight on the Amalfi Coast.

PALAZZO AVINO

Palazzo Avino is one of Ravello’s most iconic hotels, easily recognisable due to its terracotta pink walls, luscious florals, and cliff top views. Tucked away in the medieval hilltop village of Ravello and perched high above the sparkling Mediterranean, Palazzo Avino overlooks some of the coast’s most picturesque fishing villages. The five-star deluxe hotel boasts over thirty rooms and ten suites, a spacious heated outdoor pool, a Michelin-star restaurant, and a sun deck with a whirlpool. For those planning to legally wed in Ravello, Amalfi’s very own pink palace is situated right next door to the town halls and gardens, making Palazzo Avino the perfect spot to host your friends and family as you continue celebrating long into the night!

This splendid villa in late liberty style, with a protracted harmonic outline has been redecorated with care and respect of the original style, it has been always an ideal location for ceremonies, banquets and exclusive meetings.

Majestically positioned on a rocky promontory just outside Positano, with direct access to the water via steps or an elevator, Villa Treville is an elegant, white-washed estate where you can escape, relax in privacy and enjoy exclusive A-list pleasures.

Directly overlooking the azure waters of the breath-taking Amalfi Coast, Villa Treville is a uniquely extraordinary place. Secluded behind gates, a windy path leads you through lush tropical gardens and under vine-laded pergolas to five meticulously cared for villas that house some of the finest suites on the Amalfi Coast.

Fun Fact: Villa Treville used to be owned by famous Italian film and opera Director, Franco Zefferelli. Zefferelli made one of my favourite movies - Romeo & Juliet.

In the heart of the Positano and surrounded by botanical gardens is the beautiful 18th-century palace, Hotel Palazzo Murat. Originally built by the King of Naples in 1808, the hotel is full of history and maintains its traditional charm. Situated along the Amalfi Coast with stunning views of the Mediterranean, it is a fairytale venue at which to host your wedding.

Hotel Palazzo Murat

Le Sirenuse opened in 1951, when four Neapolitan siblings, the Marchesi Aldo, Paolo, Anna and Franco Sersale turned their summer house in Positano into a charming hotel, overlooking the bay of Positano. Today the 58-room resort is considered one of Italy’s leading seaside luxury hotels, though it still retains the intimate, cultured atmosphere of a private home, it is the ideal atmosphere that will contribute to experiencing a magical destination wedding in Italy.

The hotel sits at the heart of Positano village, on scenic ‘Amalfi Drive’, just 55km south of Naples. Perched above the sea, the rooms, terraces, bar and restaurant are an oasis of peace and silence, illuminated by a breathtaking view.

Perched on the cliffs of the Sorrentine Peninsula, overlooking the Bays of Naples, Villa Astor is an extraordinary private residence boasting one of the most beautiful gardens in Europe and is one of the most luxurious venues on the Amalfi Coast.

The Villa has everything for an unforgettable experience – opulent interiors, extensive lush gardens for outdoor receptions, direct access to the sea, a natural sea grotto and an incredible collection of Greek and Roman antiques that can be found inside and outside the Villa.
